MI’s Alpha Metal Finishing Wins Environmental Excellence Award

Alpha Metal Finishing in Dexter, Michigan, received the Environmental Excellence Award from Washtenaw County for its efforts in pollution prevention.

Washtenaw County's Environmental Excellence Partnership Program (E2P2) offers awards and recognition for environmentally sound practices, including pollution prevention, through initiatives like Community Partners for Clean Streams and Waste Knot.

The awards recognize businesses and nonprofits that protect waterways and reduce waste through safe storage of hazardous materials, waste reduction, and recycling. For more information, you can contact the Community Partners Program Manager or the Office of the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner, as noted on the Washtenaw County website.

“We are humbled and honored to be selected for this award,” says Greg Wood, Alpha Metal Finishing President. “I am incredibly proud of my team for always going above and beyond when it comes to safety and health for each other and our community.”

Since 1976, Alpha Metal Finishing has been a family-owned company that offers anodizing, hardcoat anodizing, trivalent chromate (chem film), stainless steel passivation, and custom services.

Wood received the award along with team members Kaitlin Lesser and Jamie Barrus.
