Skid-mounted dust collectors are easy to set up and are supplied throughout the continental US and Canada in multiple capacity ranges. Most notably, their unique design prevents conflagration at the source, making them ideal for applications involving volatile dusts and/or high dust loadings.
Tri-Mer rental units use time-proven Whirl/Wet collection technology and are effective for powdered, flaked, and granulated products, as well as soluble and insoluble particulates.
Whirl/Wet is manufactured in 100% polypropylene and steel alloys; systems operate in processing facilities throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. It is used to collect dust from snack food and cereal manufacturing and spice blending, by manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and metal products, and for battery propagation testing. These systems are also used in conjunction with pneumatic conveyors and in packaging operations.
Rental systems from Tri-Mer provide consistent 95-99% collection efficiency, and can be specified for manual or semi-automatic operation. Energy generated within the unit will prevent clogging under any operating condition; therefore, the agglomeration and sticky residues common to traditional dust collectors are not an issue.
The system is also unique in that it does not use “high-maintenance” wear parts such as spray nozzles, pumps, dust bags, or air compressors.
Whirl/Wet dust collectors have no internal moving parts, are energy-efficient, and have a CIP/self-cleaning design. Water use is low: after the initial charge, only additions are needed to compensate for evaporation and drag-out.
