Metal Finishing Technologies Partners With JD Technologies to Grow Finishing Business

Metal Finishing Technologies in Bristol, Connecticut, says it has retained JD Technologies to grow MFT’s business in New England, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Peter MirabelloPeter MirabelloPeter Mirabello, CEO at MFT, says JD Technologies will provide premium sales and marketing services for their shop in those regions.

“Once we met JD Technologies and discussed our business philosophies and goals of growing and supporting a world-class book of business, it was obvious we shared the same vision for growth,” Mirabello says. “We are excited to get going.”

MFT is an ISO/AS and NADCAP certified FAA Part 145 Repair Station specializing in coating removal, finishing, and electroplating. Mirabello purchased the company in 2011; he started as an engineer for Pratt & Whitney/UTC. He later became the Commercial Director for Pratt’s highly successful JV International Aero Engines in Toulouse, France, and worked for NetJets.

Skip Griffin, MFT’s vice president of operations, says the partnership allows them to bring their services to a broader market. MFT has an investment partnership with Battle Investment Group that began in 2020, and the agreement with John Knott, president of JD Technologies, makes it stronger.

“That has provided access to leading Industry 4.0 tools,” Griffin says. “We feel John and his team are ideally suited to help us bring these innovative solutions to the market as well.”

John KnottJohn KnottKnott says MFT has been extremely successful for a long time, and they will build on this success by using their established relationships and proven consultative selling approach.

“The integrated product teams and design groups that we work with today in numerous industries are very sophisticated,” Knott says. “They are always looking for better solutions while minimizing cost. Our virtual lunch and learn educational seminars help us ‘get the word out’ by educating the engineers working on new products or improving existing products.”

Metal Finishing Technologies holds numerous quality and customer certifications, including ISO 9001, AS9100-D, FAA and EASA registered Part 145 repair station and NADCAP for chemical processing. MFT operates out of a 72,000 square foot facility in Bristol.

JD Technologies in York, Maine, provides premium sales and marketing services to a group of high-quality, complementary manufacturers of engineered services and products who serve the industrial, aerospace, military and defense, and medical industries.
