“Thank you guys for coming to Saporito Finishing and helping us celebrate National Service Finishing Day, which is celebrated on the first Wednesday of March annually,” President Jeff Logan said. “It’s a way of recognizing the people and all their hard work, everything that they do for this industry, which really is incredibly vital to manufacturing as a whole.”

Saporito Finishing specializes in a variety of metal finishing techniques, including zinc plating, anodizing, and industrial hard chrome. These processes are critical in industries ranging from automotive and aerospace to medical and food service.

“People make parts, they send them here and then we finish and we do things like zinc plating, which is the biggest finish that we do,” Logan says. “You can think of a zinc-plated nut, screw, or bolt, but also brackets that you’ll find in your cars. And then we do anodizing. Easiest thing for anodized is probably your aluminum pans. Those great pans—that’s all hard-coated anodized, all your nonstick pans.”

Despite economic challenges, Saporito Finishing has remained a steadfast employer in the community.

“Well, we are very happy,” Cicero Business License Director, Ismael Vargas said. “You know, when you think about a company like this that has been established for almost 80 years here in Cicero, almost 70, you have to think about how it has been beneficial to our community. And speaking to the management and the owners, to think that over 160 employees that are here in this company, 90% are from Cicero. So they walk here to come here to 31st and Austin.”

Saporito Finishing continues to be a leader in the industry, not only through its expertise in metal finishing but also through its dedication to quality control.
