Precision Finishing Inc., a provider of advanced mechanical surface finishing solutions based in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, has acquired vibratory finishing equipment manufacturer Royson through an asset purchase.
Jeffrey BellJeffrey Bell, Chief Technology Officer of Precision Finishing, says this strategic move strengthens Precision Finishing’s ability to deliver turnkey finishing solutions by integrating Royson’s renowned vibratory finishing equipment line with Precision’s engineering expertise and process capabilities.
Precision Finishing serves the finishing industry in several ways. It does in-house development and manufacturing of Chemtrol vibratory and washing compounds, has two contract shops that perform vibratory deburring and blast cleaning, and offers direct sales of vibratory, blast cleaning, washing, and waste-treatment equipment and supplies.
“The opportunity arose through industry context, and we recognized that adding the Royson line directly to the Precision Finishing brand positions us for long-term growth,” Bell says. “Royson’s unique access to market segments we’ve traditionally struggled in allows us to deliver comprehensive solutions that combine equipment, engineering, and process excellence. By pairing these capabilities, we fill a key segment in the market and elevate our offerings for partners and end-users alike.”
Royson, founded in 1950, is a U.S. manufacturer of vibratory finishing equipment and systems. With this acquisition, Precision Finishing expands its capabilities in mechanical and chemical engineering, field sales support, and process development. Customers will benefit from enhanced turnkey solutions, including in-house equipment testing and process validation before shipment, virtual and telephone troubleshooting, and on-site field support.
Dean Bell“Customers will continue to rely on the trusted Royson products and support they know—now powered by the scale and infrastructure of Precision Finishing,” says Dean Bell, Chief Operating Officer of Precision Finishing. “This will deliver faster response times, expanded capabilities, and a higher standard of service moving forward.”
Jeffrey Bell says uniting two 70+ year-old companies is a rare and exciting milestone.
“Royson gives us a unique ability to level up our finishing solutions through easier system integrations, improved machine controls, enhanced process accuracy, and overall efficiency,” Jeffrey says. “We are already delivering solutions just two weeks after the acquisition, and we are thrilled for what the future holds.”
The combined expertise of Precision Finishing and Royson positions the organization to serve all applicable metal manufacturing sectors and markets, delivering innovative finishing solutions and unparalleled customer support.
