Karen Walters marked 35 years of service to Gema and the powder coating industry.
Walters is a Marketing Specialist at Gema, where she plays a key role in supporting sales and marketing initiatives and working closely with Gema’s network of authorized distributors across North America. The company says her professionalism, marketing acumen, and dedication to organization and customer service have made her a trusted and indispensable member of the Gema team.
Walters is a Kelley School of Business graduate at Indiana University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Distribution Management, and International Studies. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Lambda honor societies, recognizing her academic excellence and leadership.
She began her career in the finishing industry at Ransburg Corporation, where she held various roles in manufacturing, engineering administration, technical sales support, and office management. Following Ransburg’s acquisition by Illinois Tool Works (ITW), she continued her career with ITW Ransburg and ITW Industrial Finishing, gaining broad experience across multiple business units.
In 2007, Walters brought her industry knowledge and customer focus to Gema, which was then also part of the ITW portfolio. Her transition to Gema marked a natural continuation of her finishing industry career, further strengthening her expertise in sales and marketing. Today, Gema operates as a Graco Inc. company.
