Katahdin Industries has sold Precision Coating to Integer Holdings Corporation.
Bill EllerkampPrecision Coating is an anodizer and coating company that provides global medical technology customers with products and services to enhance the surface functionality of patient-critical products. It has built a highly specialized proprietary medical technology supply chain coatings platform.
The portfolio build, positioning, and growth trajectory were accelerated through five acquisitions, including CHN Metal Finishing (2008), Medi-Solve (2008), Boyd Coatings Research (2015), a merger with N2 Biomedical (2021), and Providence Texture (2023).
Investments in data systems, automation, materials development, and greenfield expansion in Costa Rica further facilitated a nearly tenfold increase in scale over the hold period. The company currently operates four North American sites and one in Costa Rica.
